We are so excited that you are attending CES VI and playing the Connection Game while you are here. The Connection game is designed first and foremost for you to have fun! But secondly it is designed to help you meet a lot of other wonderful people and maximize your experience at the event.
You should have received your Scorecard at registration. If not please visit our Admin table to pick up a scorecard. You can also access it here online as well. Please note that there are points and information on both sides of the Scorecard so make sure you don’t forget to check the back of the paper.
The game starts Thursday Morning when Jim kicks off the first session and it ends at 5 PM Friday afternoon when you turn in your Scorecard at our admin table before leaving the ballroom.
We randomly chose teams from all the attendees. You and your team were given a letter to designate your team. At registration you should have put your Team Letter on your badge so you can identify your team members when you are playing the game.
You will notice on the scorecard that there are several activities you can engage in for various points. There are also bonus and penalty points that you don’t want to miss that are listed on the back of the scorecard.
This game is based on the honor system and you will only check off points for activities you did and also check off penalty points if you incur any.
Simply write the number of points for each row in which you completed an activity and make sure you total your points at the end of the day for each section then also write you overall total in on the back of the scorecard before turning it in on Friday.
You must total your points for both Thursday and Friday as well as your overall total to qualify. If you turn in your scorecard without your point totaled then your scorecard will be invalidated.
You will notice some activities say “(Only one day).” What this means is you can only get points on Thursday OR Friday but NOT both. Example: Your picture taken at Registration Table (Only one day). You should only write in points on one of the two days - whichever day you completed the activity.
There are few activities that need special instructions that we couldn’t fit on the printed Scorecard.
You get bonus points for finding someone who is new to CES and selling online and helping them feel welcomed and also to help answer any questions they may have or point them toward a person or resource that can answer those questions.
You can get bonus points for asking up to two people per day Jim’s Magic questions. So you can get a total of 80 points for asking two people both days.
Here are Jim’s Magic questions:
There are additional bonus points available if you ask anyone of these questions when finding someone in the badge hunt game
Winners and Prizes will be announced on Saturday. There will also be a drawing from all the participants who played so everyone has a chance to win something.
If there are any ties in points we will take those player names and randomly draw the winner.
Thanks again for playing the Connection Game! We hope you enjoy it!
